Founders
🐾 Yustyna Zanko 🐾 President and founder.
Yustyna Zanko serves as the President of the association. Before moving to France, she volunteered for homeless animals in Ukraine and supported local animal welfare initiatives. Witnessing how Russia’s full-scale invasion devastated communities and erased decades of progress in animal protection was deeply heartbreaking, as shelters were destroyed, resources became scarce, and animals remained among the most vulnerable victims of the war. With a background in economics and international development, Yustyna contributes professional experience in project management and institutional cooperation to help ensure that the association’s work remains impactful and sustainable.
🐾 Alexandre Kastner 🐾 Vice-President, treasurer and founder.
Alexandre Kastner serves as Vice President and Treasurer of the organization. His commitment to animal welfare became deeply personal during time spent in Ukraine, particularly when he visited the shelter Домівка Врятованих Тварин in Lviv. Seeing the overcrowded spaces, the exhausted yet determined volunteers, and the animals carrying visible signs of abandonment and trauma made the consequences of war impossible to ignore. In that moment, the suffering of animals stopped being an abstract concern and became a responsibility he felt he could not turn away from.
With close ties to Ukraine, the conflict is not distant news for Alexandre, it affects people and communities he knows. That experience strengthened his conviction that compassion must be matched with structure and accountability. As Vice President and Treasurer, he is committed to building an organization grounded in transparency, discipline, and long-term impact, ensuring that empathy is transformed into meaningful and sustainable support for vulnerable animals.
